About the Role:

The Accounting team manages month-end close processes for multiple subsidiaries, annual audit in compliance with PCAOB standards, regulatory compliance matters and day-to-day accounting operations. We are looking for a strong and detail oriented International Tax leader to assist in managing all aspects of corporate tax compliance and corporate tax provision processes for international subsidiaries. The Senior Manager, International Tax will take a holistic internal ownership for all international tax workstreams, closely working with external tax advisers to mature and scale corporate tax governance. The role will report to the Head of Tax.

You Will:

  • Assist the Head of Tax in overseeing the international income tax compliance process, including a detailed review of all international tax returns and foreign reporting aspects of the domestic return

  • Assist the Head of Tax in overseeing quarterly and annual global income tax provision and reporting process for international subsidiaries, performing detailed reviews in accordance with ASC 740 and SOX controls standards

  • Manage processes related to all international indirect taxes, including VAT tax, and other applicable local taxes to ensure compliance

  • Manage tax audits by various international tax authorities

  • Proactively consider, analyze, and communicate the financial statement impact of business transactions/combinations, changes in business results, tax projects, and legislative changes

  • Perform detailed review of tax reconciliations and tax journal entries and supervise the work performed by the junior team members to deliver timely and accurate financial results

  • Develop tax staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships

  • Collaborate with external tax advisors, corporate accounting, FP&A, legal, and other cross-functional business partners

  • Perform general international tax research to resolve issues

  • Assist with the creation and implementation of tax-related process improvements

  • Assist with other tax areas, as assigned

  • Remain current on new international tax laws and regulations and consider these changes from a tax compliance and tax accounting perspective

  • Collaborate with external tax advisors on international tax planning and structuring

You Have:

  • BA or BS degree from a top-ranking university in accounting/ finance/ tax required

  • CPA is required

  • 10+ years of experience in the tax profession, with advanced knowledge of international taxation and ASC740 required

  • Public company/SEC experience required, with direct experience with PCAOB standards and SOX requirements

  • Top-level critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Positive, driven, and energetic; able to roll up your sleeves to get the job done

  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to think through complex problems, determine proper processes, derive tax conclusions, and present results to the team

  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to be a team player, and ability to work well in a remote work environment

  • Ability to train and manage tax professionals
