The Position
Organon’s US Commercial Team is seeking a Director, US Field Training and Enablement to lead a pivotal function that drives the success of our diverse US Business Units, spanning both pharmaceutical and medtech/medical device portfolios. This role is central to enhancing the effectiveness and impact of our field-facing commercial teams through targeted training and effectiveness initiatives aligned with business priorities.
An ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in effective and innovative commercial and field sales training / engagement approaches. They will have a strong grasp of the use of data in continuous improvement. They will also have the proven ability to align operational execution plans with organizational and Business Unit (BU) objectives. A successful Director will act as an expert partner to our US Business Units and collaboratively lead with the ability to influence across stakeholders and jointly deliver on shared priorities and objectives.
The Director, US Field Team Enablement and Operations will report to the Head, US Commercial Strategy and Operations and will manage a team of direct reports.
Responsibilities
Field Performance and Effectiveness
Power the effectiveness and impact of our field-facing commercial teams through the design and delivery of targeted training and enablement initiatives.
Leverage data-driven insights to optimize call planning, customer targeting, and messaging in collaboration with Business Insights, BU Sales, and BU Marketing.
Provide strategic input on sales incentive planning and goal setting based on insights from sales teams and analytics.
Define centralized operational needs to optimize field force effectiveness.
Partner with HQ and BU Leads to plan and execute communication needs for US Commercial field-facing teams.
Training and Enablement (L&E) Leadership:
Lead the Field Training and Enablement team to evaluate and address training needs across business units.
Standardize impactful training approaches to ensure consistent skills, capabilities, and experiences.
Collaborate with Sales, Market Access, Operations, and Marketing leadership to define results-focused, performance-based training priorities.
Maintain internal stakeholder engagement to establish quarterly priorities.
Develop and deliver training for Field-Facing Leaders based on current coaching performance.
Ensure all customer-facing colleagues promote compliantly according to all policies.
Continuous Improvement and Measurement:
Establish governance to drive excellence in sales execution.
Lead regular reporting and performance analysis sessions with the US Leadership Team and cross-functional stakeholders.
Assist teams in evaluating program metrics to determine training impact and areas for growth.
Performance and Logistics:
Oversee onboarding and field logistics processes to ensure seamless field execution.
Hold a leadership role in national sales meeting planning and award trip operations.
Lead a team to partner closely with other commercial enablement functions including Sales Operations, Business Insights, and Marketing Operations.
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum of 12 years of experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and/or medical device industry.
Proven track record in a customer-facing role such as field sales management or account management.
At least five years of experience in team leadership.
Strong familiarity with pharmaceutical and/or medtech Sales and Marketing processes and regulatory/compliance environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting business priorities and translate them into executional processes.
Experience in data management.
Familiarity with adult learning and upskilling approaches and best practices.

The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is stated below. Benefits offered in the U.S. include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation and holiday time, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
Annualized Salary Range (US)
$152,300.00 - $259,200.00Please Note: Pay Ranges are Specific to local market and therefore vary from country to country
