The Position
The Director, Clinical Data Analytics is responsible for providing leadership and solutions in clinical, medical, and outcomes research, data warehousing, and visual analytics. This role will play a critical part in shaping data-driven decision-making, supporting clinical research and commercial teams, and enhancing patient outcomes through sophisticated data strategies.
Responsibilities
Participate in the development and execution of a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with business goals to deliver a centralized analytics framework.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical research, market access, and commercial operations to understand and address analytical needs.

Visual Analytics and Reporting:
Develop, implement and maintain visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making.

Data Warehouse Management:
Lead the architecture and management of a data warehouse, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and scalability.
Oversee data integration from multiple sources including, clinical trial data, claims data, and third-party databases.

Clinical, Medical, and Outcomes Research:
Design and implement analytical models to support HEOR studies to provide enhanced insights into patient outcomes through advanced analytics. Oversee development of data sets to support all franchises.
Partner with epidemiologists, medical affairs, and clinical teams to extract insights from RWD and RWE to inform clinical development and marketing strategies.
Manage, develop, and mentor a high-performing analytics team to foster innovation and collaboration.
Provide guidance and development opportunities for analysts, data scientists, and data engineers.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
Minimum 10 years of clinical data analytics experience in CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, R Shiny) and statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
Hands-on expertise in data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL processes with an understanding of data validation, lineage, and governance practices.
Proven experience with outcomes research methodologies and RWE data sources.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
Proficient in stakeholder management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Querying/managing databases (e.g., SQL).
ETL Tools (e.g., Informatica, Matillion, RudderStack).
Preferred Education
Master's degree.
