We are currently recruiting for a Director, Payer and Launch Brand Strategy for Biosimilars Marketing Strategy and Promotion (U.S.). The position will be based in Plymouth Meeting, PA and will report to the Executive Director, U.S. Biosimilar Commercial Leader.
This position will be focused on access strategy and execution of the biosimilar portfolio which includes the execution and launch of multiple biosimilars. It will require a deep understanding of the U.S. payer landscape, payer trends, differences in benefit designs, knowledge of the emerging biosimilar space, development of brand marketing strategies, and experience in launch planning, and execution. The biosimilar landscape is complex and rapidly evolving, so the ability to learn quickly and challenge traditional branded pharmaceutical organizational thinking, including effective customer engagement strategies.
The person selected for this position will need to have strong leadership skills, ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, lead cross-functional teams, articulate vision, and objectives clearly to internal stakeholders and partners, plan and execute work according to timelines for market events and respond to customer insights in a dynamic fashion. The selected candidate is expected to operate with integrity and transparency, as well as respect and adherence for the laws and regulations that govern our industry and our company policies. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
Develop and lead the contracting, pricing, and access strategy for the portfolio of biosimilars for Payer/PBM, and the Employer, segments.
Utilize internal tools to develop the access landscape for the portfolio, understand the leverage points within in the buying process, and develop the brand strategy for launch including collaborating with internal ex-US stakeholders.
Develop the go-to-market strategy, including collaborating and leading cross-functional areas to ensure day one execution for the launch.
Oversee the development of the promotional plan and manage the budget for our product.
Develop pricing and contracting strategy for each brand as well as develop strategies that optimize the portfolio.
Manage concerns for commercialization and escalate issues that represent significant barriers.
Support the development promotional resources and market access support tools for the respective managed care customer segments.
Become Organon's point of contact for large customer organizations in the Payer/PBM and Employer market segments.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to prioritize work, understand necessary trade-offs, and help facilitate internal resource development.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
BA/BS degree.
Minimum seven years' pharmaceutical marketing, account management, or marketing support roles.
Strong financial acumen.
Understanding of the contracting and reimbursement dynamics for large customers.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem solving, teamwork, analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and effective presentation skills.
Experience with leading and collaborating across functional areas, influencing without authority, and working with external partners.
Requires approximately 20% travel, including some weekends.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
MBA degree.
Demonstrated competency in marketing practices and processes.
Experience in oncology and/or immunology marketing.
Experience in account management or large customer interactions.
Experience in commercial strategy for biosimilars.
Understanding of the impact federal and state policy can have on commercialization strategies.
Understanding of contracting, reimbursement, and practice economics for buy and bill products for hospitals, payers, patients, and other stakeholders.
Experience working with Acute Care, Specialty, and Oncology GPOs, Practice Management Groups, PBMs and Health Plans.
Knowledge of current policy issues for biosimilars and potential impact on commercialization and adoption of biosimilars.

The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is stated below.
