The Position

Shape the technology foundation of Organon’s Business Technology Services organization, driving enterprise-wide innovation, operational efficiency, and commercial growth through cloud technologies and emerging capabilities in AI, ML, and automation. This role is pivotal in developing a forward-thinking technology strategy that ensures Organon remains agile and competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.

As part of Business Technology Services within Digital & Commercial Strategy (DCS), you’ll collaborate across teams, working with both leaders and technical experts to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who leverages cloud capabilities and cutting-edge tools to drive business success, blending technical expertise with a passion for driving business success and operational agility.

Responsibilities

Cloud Maturity & Operational Excellence

• Optimize our cloud ecosystem to deliver top-tier performance, security, and cost-efficiency, enabling scalability for commercial and digital initiatives.

• Lead automation efforts across infrastructure, observability, and self-service platforms to streamline operations and accelerate delivery.

• Embed cloud-native approaches that ensure compliance and support rapid adaptation to market and customer needs.

• Integrate advanced cloud solutions to keep Organon’s technology foundation agile and industry leading.

Technology Strategy & Business Alignment

• Craft a technology vision that amplifies DCS’s goals—driving growth in the business and operational excellence.

• Foster a collaborative approach across DCS functions, aligning technology with commercial priorities like market access, customer insights, and portfolio expansion.

• Partner with Data & Analytics, Customer Engagement & Digital Solutions, and Transformation teams to ensure technology enhances business outcomes.

• Unify systems and eliminate inefficiencies, creating a seamless technology framework that supports Organon’s strategic ambitions.

Technology Strategy & Oversight

• Harness emerging technologies like AI, ML, and advanced analytics to transform commercial operations, from HCP engagement to campaign analytics.

• Guide the integration of these innovations into our cloud environment, amplifying capabilities across sales, marketing, and customer value teams.

• Provide strategic direction to ensure technology investments deliver measurable impact, align with DCS’s mission, and uphold governance standards.

• Anticipate industry trends and position Organon to capitalize on opportunities that enhance our competitive edge.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

• MSc Degree or BSc Degree Computer Science or related field.

• 10+ years in cloud strategy, technology leadership, or roles driving business-aligned tech solutions.

• Proven expertise in cloud maturity and automation across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Track record of aligning technology with business goals in a dynamic, value-focused environment.

• Pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally in areas like commercial, sales, marketing, or customer engagement.

• Strong command of emerging technologies like AI, ML, and advanced analytics, with a focus on driving scalability and business impact.

• Exceptional ability to influence stakeholders and unite diverse teams around a shared technology vision.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Expertise in DevOps, FinOps, or scalable cloud governance practices.

• Experience navigating compliance, risk, and cybersecurity in regulated industries.

• Success in scaling automation and self-service platforms to support fast-paced organizations.
