The Global Medical Content and Training Director is responsible for the following key activities, including, but not limited to: leading the planning, development, review, approval and communication of Global Scientific Content and Training within Global Medical Affairs, aligned with annual strategic plans. This position reports into the Global Medical Content and Training Lead.
Primary Responsibilities
- Shapes and informs the creation and adaptation of the scientific platform, medical narrative, global scientific content, publications, and annual training plans, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders cross-functionally and worldwide
- Executes global scientific content and training plans that include, but are not limited to, medical information letters, FAQ’s, disease and product-related slide decks, global congress medical booth materials, digital/web-based medical content and training materials
- Reviews global scientific content and training materials to ensure they are relevant, scientifically accurate, and consistent with cited appropriate scientific literature, internal scientific information, and Company values and standards
- Helps identify digital innovation to support content and training development, access, and delivery including enhanced scientific engagement via remote channels
- Ensures appropriate stakeholders are engaged in the development, review, and approval of global scientific content and training materials
- Communicates global scientific content and training approved content to key internal stakeholders
- Leads training to internal stakeholders on key disease and products, assessing quality of materials to continuously improve
- Anticipates internal/external business and information needs and regulatory/compliance issues; takes leadership role in decision-making and developing cross-functional strategy and tangible solutions within functional, company, and industry guidelines
Qualification, Skills & Experience
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA)
- 5+ years of experience in medical information, medical communications, field medical, or a related field within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Development or delivery of scientific content and training for the purpose of scientific exchange w/external customers
- Experience with medical and legal review (MLR) processes and supporting systems
- Previous experience in dermatology preferred
- Demonstrated scientific writing/verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate strategy into action plans
- Proven ability for solid networking, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skill.

- Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills (solution-driven)
- Must be able to work in a complex organization environment and have ability to effectively operate in a global and team-oriented structure
