Description of The Position
The position will be responsible for developing and implementing market access strategies to drive the availability, access and funding of the company's products, services and solutions in Mexico to promote profitable growth. This role will involve close collaboration and leadership with internal and external teams to ensure regulatory compliance, optimize pricing and reimbursement, value recognition, innovative access and negotiation models and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders for the business growth.

- This leadership role requires a dynamic individual with a strong strategic mindset, exceptional analytical and communication skills, and a deep knowledge of the market access across the region and commitment to advancing the company's purpose and business goals.
- The position will be part of the Commercial team, reporting to the Director, and with dotted line for strategy alignment and execution with Market Access Associate Director of MEXICO.
Strategic Planning: - Design and execute market access strategies with the local teams tailored to the specific needs and aligned with the Mexico business goals.
Analyze the regulatory and reimbursement landscape in each market to identify opportunities and challenges. - Competitive analysis to establish the competitive environment and horizon scanning for successful new launches.
Enhance the market access competences in the teams in field (according to the go to market) with HR support to consolidate a cross-functional team that is able to implement the market access tactics to better positioning our portfolio based on evidence.
Stakeholder engagement: - Develop a strong stakeholder mapping and engagement with health authorities, payers, key opinion leaders, trade associations and other critical stakeholders that are relevant to the OGN Mexico market access strategy to improve patient outcomes creating a competitive advantage with high compliance standards and complying with internal/local policies.
- Represent the company in relevant meetings and forums to discuss market access issues and initiatives at local level.
Regulatory and Reimbursement: - Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and work in the approvals for OGN portfolio access and reimbursement in the public lists/formularies in Mexico or the applicable mechanisms for private sector.
- Participate in the definition of strategic pricing and reimbursement strategies to optimize market access and OGN portfolio uptake.
Cross-functional Collaboration: - Work closely with the market access team, commercial teams, and other internal departments to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Provide market insights and support to the commercial and medical teams to drive strategic decisions.
Market Analysis and Reporting: - Monitor and report on market access trends, policies, and competition landscape.
- Prepare and present market access plans, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to add value to the OGN business in Mexico.
- Identifying emerging or accelerating market Trends, population profile according to the Organon´s priorities, access and reimbursement facts and relevant Insights to drive growth opportunities with Key stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of our customers/payers: key interests, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to inform the OGN value propositions.
- Deep knowledge the decision-making process, product journey, healthcare indicators, that drive the uptake of our brands in MEXICO.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in coverage, reimbursement, quality indicators, sustainability, pricing, value-based healthcare, health technology assessment and innovative access and negotiation models in Mexico and develop strategies to train the cross-functional team on these topics to make the difference in field and add value to the stakeholders.
- Proactive screening of the healthcare policies, identifying risks, threats and opportunities; estimate the impact to the access strategies and business developing, and cocreate action plans according to the outcome desired.
Value and Access Plan Development and Implementation - Moving the business from pricing to value: lead the cross-functional team to create value added solutions and integrative value-based propositions, develop HEOR tools and digital platforms to pave the way for open new business, break access barriers and pilot innovative contracting solutions.
- Capturing short and long-term business opportunities based on in depth Market and Customer understanding. Identify the opportunities and threats for access to the ORGANON pipeline in the healthcare system, propose strategies and execute the action plans.
- Defining and executing a tailored ORGANON value proposition linked to Customer needs using a cross-team approach based on the evidence and cocreate innovative access models to expand access to our portfolio in a sustainable, transparent and according to the best clinical evidence way.
- Creating, developing and/or adapting communication strategies, platforms, tools, and value proposals and messages tailored to the different stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem and work with the internal teams to the implementation in the field according to the business objectives.
- Developing long-term customer-centric strategies that will grow access to target populations, revenue, market share and portfolio penetration while also building our reputation through professional engagement and partnerships with key decision-makers based on expand value in healthcare.
- Defining collaborative opportunities to address unmet and/or evolving needs.
- Determining how to develop and implement comprehensive strategic offerings by leveraging cross-functional internal resources.
- Working in coordination with the commercial and marketing teams on developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers/stakeholders within the Key Accounts that are responsible for the “access, value recognition, value in health, pharmacotherapeutic committee, health economics departments (e.g. Directors of Pharmacy, Scientific Director, Value Director, Cohort lead and Hospital "C-Suite" customers (CEO, CFO and COOs)).
Integrated Market Access Team Management - Work with the commercial director, market access associate director of LAMEX and other locally relevant internal stakeholders to align strategies and drive implementation and monitoring based on client needs, objectives and plans, as well as against objectives ORGANON's commercial and value strategy.
- Setting a vision and strategy for the cross-functional team according to the go to market in MEXICO and committing the team to compelling objectives.
- Holding regular account review meetings in coordination with the local teams which act as a forum for i information sharing, providing status updates and initiating course corrections.
- Ensuring excellence and flawless execution.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Degree in Health Sciences relevant subject or fields, or Economy (Health Economics, Health administrator).
- Deep understanding the healthcare system, access to medicines, risk management, Pharmacoeconomics and health technology assessment. Knowledge in epidemiology is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience “hands on” in developing and implementing innovative access and reimbursement models (risk sharing, pay per performance, capping, etc) and centralize purchasing, among others.
- 3+ years of solid experience in positions with responsibility for the design and implementation of value and access strategies in healthcare/pharmaceuticals companies. Desirable specific experience in therapeutical areas such as: sexual & reproductive healthcare and oncology.
- 3+ years of experience working in a customer- facing role.
- Demonstrate a high level of engagement and networking with key stakeholders in Mexico.
- Proven track record of successful market access strategy development and execution in Mexico.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven experience in market access and team leadership.
- Knowledge in agile methodologies is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of customer/business strategy.
- Leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
