Job Description

The Position

Under the leadership of the Director, IBP, Development and Compliance, the Senior Specialist, Integrated Business Planning is responsible for the implementation and improvement of the Integrated Business Planning Processes across global Supply planning & Demand management Organization, Internal & External Partners and the Finance & Commercial stakeholders. The most important activities to be led are the bi-yearly volume and inventory budget projections (Tally and Profit Planning) and the planning parameter review processes. The intent is to develop strong partnerships to ensure compliant and uninterrupted supply and sound judgement / decision making for the overall business.

As a second main pilar, the Senior Specialist, Integrated Business Planning focuses on continuously improving the technical planning capabilities within the Integrated Demand and Supply Planning Organization by providing tailored support through documentation and knowledge improvement sessions. To ensure that business benefits are realized, the incumbent supports internal projects and initiatives that drive Supply Chain optimization, standardization, and process improvements.

Next to the above, the incumbent is also responsible for aligning, continuously improving and standardizing the Integrated Business Processes : Franchise reviews, Site Supply Review, Global Supply Review, Global Brand Review and Global Demand Review.

Responsibilities

The primary activities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the planners in going through their monthly planning cycle and running the monthly IBP meetings: Franchise Review, Site Supply Review, Global Demand Review, Global Supply Review, Global Brand Review. Why? Ensuring all government processes can happen using the right data and tools, leading to proper decision making at the appropriate level.

  • Be the link between the Integrated Demand and Supply Planning (IDSP) Organization and the Center of Excellence for the implementation and roll out of new system enhancements and for the escalation of business needs. Why? Ensuring that the business needs are considered in technical improvements of our planning tools.

  • Support the improvement and sustainment of supply planning processes and DILO/WILO/MILO within the IDSP organization with as the main goal to uplift the technical planning knowledge of the IDSP community. This is realized by creating and maintaining training material and organizing and hosting training sessions. Partner with planning leads and Planning directors to ensure training plans are aligned with dept needs. Why? Ensuring proper knowledge management and retention, targeting for continuous improvement of our demand and supply planning best practices.

  • Lead the yearly Volume and Inventory Projections Plan in collaboration with Internal and External sites, Supply Chain Operations, Procurement and Finance. Why? This is a very critical activity, supporting sites, ExM and procurement for their own Tally and budget. At the same time the result of this scenario is also used as an input to calculate COGS at SKU level.

  • Lead the parameter review process for Lead Times, Horizons and Safety Stock parameters for APIs, Drug Products and Finished Goods. Ensure the timely update of these parameters. Why? This is a critical activity to determine the level of protection we want to build to ensure uninterrupted supply at each node of our network for each product.

  • Coordinate and support the monthly and quarterly inventory assessments within IDSP in close collaboration with Finance. Continuously look for opportunities to optimize inventory positions. Why? This work is used as an input to Cash Leadership Office, franchise reviews, SSR, GSR & GBR

  • Develop and roll out metrics and dashboards that create oversight and measure performance of the IDSP organization. Why? To enable planners to take the right decision and balance demand & supply in the 3 to 36 months horizon.
