Job Description
The Position
At Organon, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our company’s (5 entities) financial records, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and providing financial guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Managing and reconciling financial records to ensure accuracy
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements
- Performing month-end and year-end closing process
- Providing financial guidance and support to senior management
- Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency
- Leading and Supporting audit (SOX, Financial and Tax Statutory reports, etc) and other external reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with external (such as auditors) and internal stakeholders (cross functional teams)
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with financial statement audits and other external reporting requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP S4 HANA
