Job Description

The Position

The Strategic Account Executive will manage the clinical and business relationship between the company and assigned customer accounts with the following goals:

  • Educate and support appropriate biosimilar adoption by communicating approved messages with Health Care Providers (HCP), Health Care Business Professionals (HBP), Payers, Specialty Pharmacies, and Federal Facilities.

  • Serve as primary point of contact across all clinical (HCP), business (HBP) and payer customer segments.

  • Identify and advance business opportunities within assigned markets while building strong B2B relationship with targeted customers using approved account executive business analytic tools & resources.

  • Ensure proper oversight and compliance with all company policies and exercising appropriate financial stewardship.

Responsibilities

Engage & support appropriate biosimilar adoption with the following:

  • Health Care Providers and Health Care Business Professionals across physician office segment & hospital segment (as applicable).

  • Federal accounts (Veterans’ Affairs, Military Treatment Facilities & Corrections)- support pull through for national contracts.

  • Regularly monitor business performance against objectives using company-provided data analytics (Veeva platform).

  • Within targeted accounts, act as primary point of contact for the customer, meet with key customers/personnel to maintain an understanding of their current practice structure, business model, and key influencers (Managed Care Organization/payers, employers, state policy), and their patients’ needs.

  • Identifies key current and future business opportunities; make information available to relevant stakeholders to support the identified customer and organizational needs.

  • Communicate to customers the clinical value proposition for assigned products using approved messages and resources.

  • The SAE engages Senior Leadership and is responsible for building trust and credibility with their assigned customers through strong interpersonal relationships, in depth knowledge of the customer's organization, objectives, business and environmental issues impacting the customer, and the same in-depth knowledge of company priorities.

  • Develops strategic and tactical plans for assigned accounts; conducts routine business reviews across customer segments.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree candidates: Three plus years of recent Sales or Account Management experience.

  • Advanced degree candidates: Three plus years of relevant external health care experience.

  • Strategic account planning.

  • Negotiation skills, demand creation and intellectual curiosity.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and success working in cross-functional teams.

  • Strong business and financial acumen of the external healthcare environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, executive presence.

  • Data Analytics capability.

The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is stated below. Benefits offered in the U.S. include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation and holiday time, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

Annualized Salary Range (US)

$86,400.00 - $146,900.00
