Job Description

The Position

The Medical Advisor holds primary responsibility within the country for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Plans in his/her therapeutic areas under the guidance and supervision of the Country Medical Lead. Additionally, the Medical Advisor provides Medical Affairs therapeutic area support through engaging with Scientific Leaders (SLs) / Key Decision Makers (KDMs), driving scientific initiatives and supporting the field force

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Able to communicate knowledge of the therapeutic area, through scientific exchange in different environments and with different stakeholders (one on one, lectures, etc)
  • Ability of critical lecture of the medical literature related to the therapeutic area
  • Ability to interact with HH, giving new potential opportunities related with the current scientific evidence
  • Ability to analyze medical literature in order to evaluate the different tendencies in research
  • Ability to communicate medical literature in a proper way to the ORG organization
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High ethical standards.
  • Capable of comprehending large amounts of scientific content, which is then communicated in a clear, concise fashion.
  • Flexible approach to work, Problem-solving thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentations) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills and a solid understanding of research methodology.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 60% of working week).
  • Driving license (B category)
  • IT competent to learn and use relevant systems and applications
  • Minimum three years Medical Science Liaison/Medical Advisor experience.
  • Experience of relevant pharmaceutical industry guidelines (MA Code of Conduct), regulatory / reimbursement framework and clinical research guidelines.
  • Clinical and/or research experience in therapeutic area of interest is preferred
  • Medical degree, PhD in health sciences, Pharm D or equivalent
