The Progyny Care Advocate will provide employee benefit, resource navigation, and emotional support to participants on a regular basis delivered exclusively via telehealth. This role is not responsible for providing psychotherapy or diagnostic services. The ideal candidate is a master’s level clinician; however, applicants with experience working with expectant parents and young families will be considered. Knowledge of healthcare benefits or prior EAP experience is a plus but not required.
What you’ll do...
Facilitates intake and regularly scheduled follow-up virtual calls for participants and families who are trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, or in the adoption process
Provides benefit education and navigation specific to each participant according to their employer’s benefit program
Supports participant through developing a childcare plan, leave preparation, and return-to-work support
Completes mental health screenings to assess appropriate referrals
Collaborate with a dedicated Care Team (including Benefits Expert & Director of Operations) to identify relevant resources and maximize participant support.
Participates in regularly scheduled case consultations with Care Team
Effectively manages caseload, which may include scheduling appointments or providing referrals for mental health resources or other benefits specific to the participant’s identified priorities
Assist participants through to-dos and activities related to their identified path to parenthood
Serves as liaison for completing necessary benefit documentation (ie, short term disability paperwork, adding baby to health coverage, etc.)
Own the member relationship by continuously educating members about their personalized benefits, empowering them to make informed decisions and optimize their journey.
Address member inquiries and proactively research high quality solutions to present.
Work cross-functionally with internal teams to adequately handle member escalations and inquiries.
About you...
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or sociology
Bachelor’s degree in related field and experience with expectant parents and/or young families may be considered)
Excellent customer service, strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills - ability to communicate accurately and concisely
Ability to effectively manage evolving priorities, multiple projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience working with growing families, working parents, women who are pregnant or struggling with becoming pregnant, families that are adopting, and/or working families of young children
Baseline knowledge of leave/benefits (i.e. FMLA, short-term disability, insurance terminology, employee assistance programs (EAPs), etc.)
Prior case management experience
Must be willing to work 12-9pm EST

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the hourly salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $25.00/hour - $35.00/hour. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
