This role will be directly responsible for supporting Progyny’s efforts to provide an enhanced member experience and better insights to Progyny stakeholders. This role will also be expected to help challenge and mature analytical approaches at Progyny; as such, a successful candidate should be motivated by a desire to help shape their environment, not simply follow the established status quo.
Success in this role is measured by the following:
Develop data models & technical requirements
Working "without a net": navigating past ambiguity through the application of your judgment and experience
Ability to find pragmatic options to tactical vs. strategic implementation dilemmas
What you’ll do…
Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate those into actionable business requirements
Work with internal consumers of our data sets to understand business KPIs and data points of interest to craft requirements for new data models & enhance existing ones
Assist other teams in implementing data standard and models, mapping various systems source data to models, and following best practices
Create and optimize data structures that deliver insightful analytics & empowers leaders to make decision based on the best and reliable data
About you…
Must Have
5+ years of experience working with healthcare data & analytics
5+ years of experience working with data modeling
Expertise in understanding data modeling patterns
Strong communication skills and a “team first” mindset
Technical skills in one or more of the following: Python, SQL, Git
Experience with UML/Kimball/data warehouse/lakehouse designs
Preferred
Data visualization tools & analytics platforms
Experience using data/query profiler & designing for query optimization and performance

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $140,000 - $155,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
