We're looking for a strategic operator to own our complete provider lifecycle from recruitment through retention. As Sr. Manager of Provider Operations, you'll be responsible for maximizing net provider growth by integrating clinical recruitment and provider success into a cohesive supply management system. This role is critical to ensuring we have the right clinical capacity to meet patient demand while building a sustainable, high-quality provider network. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to Sr. Director of Operations
The ideal candidate is a seasoned healthcare operations professional who's scaled recruitment and retention functions, ideally in staffing, telehealth, or marketplace environments. You think in systems, lead with data, and understand that sustainable growth requires optimizing the entire provider journey.

What you'll do

  • Own provider capacity forecasting and planning aligned to patient demand models
  • Set and achieve net provider growth targets (hires minus churn), optimizing for provider lifetime value
  • Analyze market conditions, competitive positioning, and provider economics to inform growth strategies
  • Manage clinical recruitment team (initially 2-3 recruiters, scaling to 4-5) focused on licensed therapists and nurse practitioners
  • Drive recruitment metrics including pipeline health, conversion rates, time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness
  • Optimize recruitment strategies based on provider retention data and success patterns
  • Develop scalable recruitment processes and manage vendor partnerships
  • Manage provider success team (initially 1 sr. associate)
  • Oversee provider onboarding, success initiatives, and ongoing support programs
  • Own provider retention metrics and implement churn reduction strategies
  • Identify and eliminate friction points in the provider experience
  • Design seamless provider journey from first contact through long-term engagement
  • Track and improve provider satisfaction, NPS, and engagement metrics
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team across recruitment and provider success functions
  • Establish clear goals, accountability, and growth paths for team members
  • Foster collaboration between recruitment and retention teams to optimize for shared outcomes
  • Create a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Partner with capacity planning and patient operations to align supply with demand
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership on quality standards, credentialing, and provider vetting
  • Work with product and engineering to improve provider platform experience
  • Align with leadership on provider economics, compensation strategy, and unit economics
  • Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership
  • Use data to identify trends, opportunities, and early warning signals

Who you are

  • 5-7+ years in healthcare operations, marketplace operations, workforce management, or similar supply-side roles
  • 3+ years managing teams, including experience managing managers or leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven track record scaling operations through high-growth phases
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, capacity planning, and workforce modeling
  • Deep understanding of metrics-driven operations and experience using data to drive decisions
  • Experience managing both acquisition/recruitment and retention functions (or clear ability to connect the two)
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute tactically and get into details when needed
  • Natural problem-solver with ability to build systems and processes from scratch
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration in fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with ATS systems, analytics tools, and standard operations software
  • Ownership mentality with accountability for outcomes
  • Clinical background or deep familiarity with provider needs and motivations is a plus

Must Haves

  • 5-7 years healthcare operations experience
  • 3+ years direct management experience
  • Understanding of high level recruitment fundamentals
  • Data/analytics experience
