About Vella Bioscience Vella is a women’s sexual science company that exists where the pleasure gap and the women’s health research gap overlap. We create clinically proven products designed to maximize pleasure and minimize pain across the entire healthspan—from menstruation to menopause. As we enter an exciting new chapter with a full rebrand underway, we’re looking for a Visual Designer to help bring our refreshed visual identity to life—across both digital platforms and real-world experiences.
The Role We’re seeking a Visual Designer to support our marketing team on a contract basis. You’ll contribute to a wide range of design needs—from digital marketing assets & social content to printed matter & educational materials. This is a great opportunity with room to grow for a newer designer who wants to deepen their skills in a mission-driven environment across a variety of media outputs.
Hours: Part-time; 10-15 hours/week Compensation: Commiserate with experience Work Style: Remote, with option to join NYC-based events
Your Responsibilities Design assets based on both detailed briefs and with existing templates, as well as stretch into new Design and iterate on brand assets for social media, paid ads, email, web Create brand assets, including video, in alignment with brand guidelines and marketing goals and fueled by data-driven insights Prep files for hand-off to production or development Communicate clearly and meet weekly deadlines
Our Requirements +2 years experience in brand design, creating high-performing brand-driven content with strong visual appeal You’ve got a solid portfolio showing good aesthetic instincts and an eye for detail, across an array of platforms and media outputs You’re a powerhouse in Figma, and like to stay well-informed and well-versed on all the latest design tools. Even though you’re operating visually, you still try to stay attuned to what the words say in your designs, because a spelling error or typo drives you crazy. Comfortable and confident handling and adapting medical and scientific content, particularly as related to women’s sexual health. In fact, not only are you comfortable, you are curious and eager to get more knowledge into women’s hands. You value a collaborative design environment, and understand that often good design doesn’t exist in a silo—feedback and dialogue are useful tools to make a good design even better. Able to work independently with minimal supervision, but are not afraid to ask for help or to have questions.
