Gameto is seeking a full time Embryologist to be part of a dynamic, dedicated, and growing team in Madrid.

About You:

You want to interface your expertise in embryology with novel technologies for stem cell engineering to solve ambitious fertility challenges, including the derivation of ovarian cell types and oocytes. You are excited to work at the intersection of multiple biological disciplines utilizing high throughput, scalable technology to answer basic biology questions for applications that address pressing industry and public health needs. You enjoy working in a creative and diverse group of people, leveraging your expertise and on-the-job learning to push innovation in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on site at Gameto partner clinics in Madrid and elsewhere to help conduct our preclinical and clinical studies
  • Report results back to US team and interface with VP of Embryology on a regular basis
  • Proficiency and independent execution of all basic and advanced IVF laboratory procedures.
  • Scrupulously follows laboratory SOPs as well as complies with all safety policies and standards.'
  • Meets quality standards and numerical goals for laboratory procedures
  • Conducts daily quality control activities
  • Performs all ancillaries’ duties as requested to maintain a clean and functional laboratory, including equipment, maintenance and inventory control
  • Performs all andrology services, including preparation of semen samples for artificial inseminations and IVF
  • Performs laboratory quality control (QC), quality assessment (QA), and participates in quality improvement (QI) programs, record keeping and collection of data
  • Conduct oocyte cryopreservation and oocyte maturation

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience a Human Embryology & Assisted Reproduction
  • Bachelors in one of Life Sciences disciplines or in Chemistry required; a degree in reproductive Biology preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing basic embryology techniques with experience in in-vitro fertilization
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Has demonstrated ability to function as a team player
